It was this type of thinking that very clearly was not going on in our society where something even as simple as planting some acorns that could be leveraged over centuries is not even considered anymore. Most of these trees were gone from all of Europe in fact. They couldn't actually just go buy them anymore in England. It had these huge oak beams over the main dining hall.ĥ00 years later in the 1800s when they had to renovate this hall, these beams had become rotten and they needed to replace them. When New College was built, it wasn't the New College, but it was 1380s that it was built. It's a new year, so let's talk about time.
